When you submit a confession, we collect the following information:

• Confession text — the anonymous message you write
• Identity type — whether you identify as a GCET Insider or Outsider
• College name — only if you identify as an Outsider
• Nickname — a name or alias you choose to provide
• Contact information — email, Instagram handle, or phone number you voluntarily provide
• Submission timestamp — the date and time of submission

We do not collect your IP address, device information, or any other tracking data through our confession form.

The information you provide is used solely for the following purposes:

• Confession text — stored for moderation review and potential public display on the platform
• Contact information — used only by our moderation team in case of disputes, removal requests, or violations of our community rules. It is never displayed publicly
• Nickname — may be displayed alongside your confession if it is published
• Timestamp — used for internal record keeping only

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.

ONE INSIDER uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites on the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

We also use browser localStorage to remember whether you have already submitted a confession today. This data stays only on your device and is never sent to our servers.

We do not use any other cookies or tracking technologies of our own.

All confession data is stored securely using Cloudflare Workers KV, a globally distributed key-value storage platform. Cloudflare provides industry-standard encryption and security for all stored data.

Access to raw confession data including contact information is restricted to the platform administrator only, protected by a secret key.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

ONE INSIDER is designed to be an anonymous platform. Your confession text and nickname may be displayed publicly on the platform. However:

• Your contact information is never displayed publicly under any circumstances
• Your full real name is never collected — we only ask for a nickname or alias
• We encourage users to not include identifying information in their confession text itself

We are not responsible for any personally identifying information you choose to include in the text of your confession.

All confessions are subject to moderation. We reserve the right to remove any confession that violates our community rules, including content that is hateful, harmful, harassing, or legally problematic.

If you submitted a confession and wish to have it removed, you may contact us using the information below. Please provide your nickname and approximate submission date so we can locate your entry.

In cases of serious violations — such as threats, defamation, or harassment — we may be required to cooperate with legal authorities and provide relevant information from our records.

ONE INSIDER is intended for college students and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our platform, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
